Splatter Art Classes

Paint From The Heart

Expressive art classes for 5 – 12 grade.

A fun, therapeutic art experience. You'll start by creating a mess! You’ll scribble, make marks, write out thoughts and feelings, and let the emotions spill. Anything goes! Then you'll examine your messes and find shapes and forms in the chaos. Learn how to isolate the shapes and forms and to create beauty from the mess. You'll end with lots of layers that peek out, interact, and vibrate with meaning.

We create and paint mostly in A3 art journals.

For the serious young artist, students will be guided in taking their work to the next level, learning how to achieve a sense of distance, perspective and dimension while understanding the use of broken colour and various techniques in bringing art form to life. Students will be encouraged to develop their own style

A free style of drawing and painting and exploring mixed media techniques, playing with the different mediums and just enjoying art!

Sometimes we just need to tap into our right-brains for some spontaneity, free associations and a vacation from their analytical left-brains.

The goal of Splatter is to provide a relaxed, friendly environment where fun and creativity can be explored; where there is no pressure to “do it right” or to be perfect; where individual uniqueness is not only recognized but celebrated!

Budding Artists

Grade 1 – 5th Grade

Children experiment and discover the various formats and mediums of art. They will be able to mess and play to their hearts content... PLEASE WEAR OLD CLOTHES

Students will explore a wide assortment of materials, including acrylic paint, charcoal, pencil, clay, pastels and more.  We will discuss color theory, perspective, horizon line, and the use of patterns in art, and then lead the budding artists in challenging projects such as still life drawing, self-portraits, and a variety of abstract and sculptural work.

For the serious young artist, students will be guided in taking their work to the next level, learning how to achieve a sense of distance, perspective and dimension while understanding the use of broken colour and various techniques in bringing art form to life. Students will be encouraged to develop their own style.
